Chamber Announces Member and Business of the Month for June

Navarre, Florida, June 3, 2010 – The Navarre Beach Area Chamber of Commerce at its monthly Commerce & Coffee meeting last week announced its June 2010 Member and Business of the Month, sponsored by Plastic Engraving.

Pelham Training, 7552 Navarre Parkway, Suite 47, Navarre, FL, was recognized as Business of the Month. The company began operations locally in March 2008 and since then has been an active supporter of the Chamber and the Navarre community. The company has offered free training courses through its “Pelham Community Connection,” and Pelham personnel have played an active role in Chamber committees and events. Pelham Training offers a wide range of courses for emergency medical and law enforcement personnel, healthcare providers and the general public. Last month, the operation began its transition to Pelham Tactical, which will include more than 20 training programs taught by seasoned law enforcement personnel. Mike Sandler of Navarre, FL, was recognized as the Chamber’s Member of the Month. He is currently a member of the Board of Directors and works tirelessly on the Chamber’s behalf. He is the chair of the Chamber’s Mentor Program and is Treasurer of the Navarre Chamber Foundation. Mr. Sandler is retired Air Force and represents the Hurlburt’s Chiefs Group as the Chamber representative. His military decorations include the Bronze Star, Meritorious Service Medal 5OLC, Air Medal 1OLC, AF Commendation Medal 9OLC, Joint Service Commendation Medal, Joint Service Achievement Medal 3OLC, Armed Forces Expeditionary Medal, Southwest Asia Service Medal, Humanitarian Service Medal 1OLC, and the Saudi Arabian and Kuwait Liberation Medals. Additionally, he was selected as the 1991 AFSOC Special Tactics Senior NCO of the Year.

SR County On-Premise Signs Workshop: Jan 14th
Santa Rosa County officials encourage citizens to participate in a Public Workshop to be held following the Local Planning Board Meeting at 6 p.m. Thursady, January 14th, 2010 in the Board Meeting Room at the Santa Rosa County Administrative Center.

The purpose of this workshop is to consider regulatory changes for on-premise Signs. Public input will be considered in drafting ordinances for review by the Board of County Commissioners at a subsequent public hearing.
